well that is not …
well that is not silent treatment, that is taking your time to cool down. Silent treatment is a terrible form of abuse, my husband would take over a month giving it to me, didn“t even sleep with me amongst other things. The effects after a long period of time (11 years for me) are devastating, believe me.
i hate the silent …
i hate the silent treatment because my friend did it to me all the time lol and sometimes she wasn’t even mad she just did it to me off lol
I cant stand …
I cant stand receiving silent treatment. I cant give the silent treatment either….like I can last about 10minutes and then I explode!lol
it does.
it does.

I go silent and my ex tried to joke me out of it which I hated. Don’t tickle unless it works
My mom gives me the …
My mom gives me the silent treatment when shes mad @ me, when she doesnt talk to me I just want 2 say ‘could u just continue yelling @ me please?!’ I think yelling hurts less than the silent treatment. But I use the silent treatment ALOT and it means I dont want to talk to you!!! u obviously said something to me off! (it doenst last too long, maybe a day or two). And it works 4 me because I am not 1 that talks about emotions freely, I think that they are no body elses business but mine.

to me
the silent treatment is very creul
its a way of saying im mad
either help fix it or leave
its kinda like a test sometimes an unintentional test
its mostly to see if ur partner is willing to fix the problem with u or to let them know they ed it up in someway
however u may get way to into it, u dont talk to ur partner because ur mad at them however if ur partner doesnt realize dat n u STILL continue being silent it can lead to break up
imo
(SWinger7) Exactly. …
(SWinger7) Exactly. Its a childish thing. It shows others that you’re afraid to talk about any of your problems. People need to learn to talk everything through or they might as well kiss their relationship bye.
Because maybe the …
Because maybe the other persopn will think you dont love them anymore then leave you. Do you really wanna lose that person you love because of this “silent treatment”? Not usually. But some people give the silent treatment to tell the other person its over and you’re breaking up. But those people are afraid to be honest and say its over. Fact is. Its a stupid treatment. And nobody should have to endure it. It really does hurt.
I know a few people …
I know a few people who killed themselves because of their bf/gf giving them the silent treatment. It is emotional abuse and it does hurt the other person. Because you are trying to talk and making everything alright. Trying to move past the situations so you can both move on with your lives.
Now a days people dont put up with the silent treatment. People like me consider that a form of breaking up. So we just leave them and dont look back.
So i guess you should be careful with that stuff.
when my fiance …
when my fiance gives me the silent treatment, I just keep asking her questions like “so how ya doin?”, try and come up with anything and everything so they’re is no silence. Eventually, probably not even an hour she talks and tells me what’s wrong or says sorry, I tell her it’s okay and that I love her, we cuddle and go back to as if nothing happened.
If your bf or gf says they’re giving the silent treatment, doesn’t mean you have to be silent, just try and get them out of it is what I say.
