    I’m going through the same thing.. My boyfriend says things to me that hurt and I can’t comeback with anything because of the way he said it.. if i comeback at it, he’ll make me feel guilty..

    Try and focus on your school.. if you meet a nice guy and you become friends let him know you came out of an abusive relationship and you want to take things slow.. best of luck

    Instead of reverting back to negative feelings, feel proud of yourself. You accomplished one of the hardest things –you found the strength to leave. Healing will take time but it will happen eventually. Right now what’s most important is have tons of social support from friends and family. Life will get better. You deserve better! Good luck 🙂

    Hey. I just got out of a four year relationship with a man who was physically and emotionally abusive several months ago and I’m also still healing. Although underestimated, words are powerful tools with serious effects. Please don’t try to blame yourself for staying. Remember that he manipulated you into thinking that you are responsible for the way he treated you. It’s a tactic many abusers use to deflect the blame and make their victim feel at fault.

    I can relate to some of the sayings in that video..my ex had me so confused that I thought that what happened between us was my fault, even though I knew it was his. He would tell me that nobody on the job had my back but him and how everyone would talk about me behind my back, but that he would stand up for me and blah, blah, blah. He would say any and everything to convince me to stay in his life. He even told me he attempted to take his life on 2 occa. which I had to talk him out of.

    My ex used all those lies, even after she broke my skull. For a short time I bought into it. Yes men get it too, only she did have power over me at the time, power my friends helped break

    what they say is true. everyone thinks my mother is mother teresa but she is cold=hearted , cruel. she is borderline narcisitic pesonality disorder and really scary. but no one belives me. thats the hardest part.

    Even if its just a threat why take a chance? Call the police so they can get “help”. they get a few weeks in a mental hospital and you get some peace.

    well i have a scar from my mom from when i was 10 she dragged me down the stairs to prove a point so i dont have a normal chin line. just recently we got into an arguement i locked my door and she banged on it yelled at me and made ahole in my door and then told me to get out of my room and leave the house.i wish i had took my kids out of the house right then and there and left.

    I understand that. My ex would leave me an emotional wreck in the morning then go to work and come back as normal. Noone knew what he was like. everyone thought he was a polite, well mannered public school educated man. The doctors diagnosed me with ME but it wasnt, it was severe stress, anxiety and depression. My family ignored it and they still do. My best friend encouraged me to leave him then married him 3 yrs later

    Guys; don’t play the abusers game. If they say they’ll kill themselves, learn to laugh and say: well, the cops won’t throw me in prison and it’ll save me the headache of getting rid of you from my life. Sounds cruel, but works. Remember that they’re the bad ones, not you. Love yourself first.

    I get these . . if you leave me Ill kill myself . . . Last time I thought you broke up with me I hungmyself in the bathroom . . . You are all I have to live for . . . Fuccin sucks I have to leave though but I know that when i do and he does kill himself Ill feel like its all my fault … knowing my preseance would have saved a life . . . but what about mine . . . ugh sorry ranting wtf lol

    yes but she was basically sleeping at other houses, so she had a place to stay. all she did was keep her stuff at the house, and was hardly ever there, so i helped her move. even though shes my mother, she didnt do much motherly stuff when she was around.
